Hey there, Supper Social community! Jordy here, excited to take you on a journey through my father’s and my culinary adventures. Food has always been the beating heart of our family gatherings, weaving cherished memories and traditions into every meal. Whether it’s the joy of making tamales with Grandma at Christmas, indulging in favorite dishes followed by strawberry cake on birthdays, or relishing breakfast tacos at Tia’s on Sundays, each occasion brings us closer over delicious food.

JORDY AND ALEX VS. CELIAC DISEASE

Let me begin by sharing that I grew up with a single father, and we’ve always been inseparable—partners in crime, facing the world together. That is, until I was diagnosed with Celiac disease at the tender age of 15. It felt like my world turned upside down. Suddenly, the staples of our kitchen—flour tortillas, enchilada sauce, bolillosconchitas—were off-limits, presenting a daunting challenge for our household. We dove headfirst into a heartfelt quest to discover gluten-free alternatives, determined to preserve the essence of our beloved dishes. Through perseverance and creativity, we ensured that flavor and tradition remained the guiding lights of our culinary journey.

Discovering Supper Social felt like finding a home for our gluten-free treasure trove of Mexican recipes. This platform offers us the perfect stage to connect with a community of kindred spirits, fellow food enthusiasts eager to share in our culinary creations.
